Welcome Reader

I was born in Santa Monica, California, to Paul & Millie Woods. They met when he returned to the states after serving as a Marine in World War II and were married in August of 1947. They were devout Christians and greatly influenced my life. Their ministry took our family to multiple cities and states across the country.

 

After graduating college with degrees in biology and Bible I took a job as a teacher in Decatur, Alabama. During my career I taught physics and math from 8th grade level  through college.

Moving around like I did encouraged a love of travel and an awe and appreciation for nature (especially mountain landscapes). I've also had the opportunities to encounter a lot of people in my lifetime across various states, countries, nationalities, and belief systems. This has provided countless conversations and growth as an individual as well as experience in discussing important and difficult matters while taking into consideration differing perspectives.

It is my family background, life  experiences, travel opportunities, and scientific and mathematical knowledge combined that have grown my faith and, ultimately because of that faith, inspired me to share these thoughts with you.
